Top 3 Best Ways to Learn English! By a REAL Native Speaker!
Hello everyone! 안녕하세요!
Before we begin let me introduce myself. My name is Josh and I'm going to be writing some guest posts for you all about how to learn English, quickly and easily WITHOUT any stress!
I plan on posting here on several topics, including things that English people do, ways that English people think and how English people act. English fashion, tradition, culture, food and people.
You can improve your own English and learn some useful information about England for your trips to the UK and maybe improve your test score too.
So, now that our introductions are over with, let's get into it!
TOP 3 WAYS to LEARN ENGLISH
1. Watch some English TV.
England has one of the best television broadcast corporations in the world: the BBC. British citizens pay £145.50 as an annual licence fee to own a TV. With a population of around 63 million people, that's a lot of money being spent on watching TV! Take advantage of the blazing fast Korean internet and get hold of some of the TV shows that the BBC produces. They are high quality, in depth and informative as well as entertaining. Learning doesn't have to be a chore, watch a TV show instead!
2. Speak to English speakers.
There are a growing number of English speakers in Korea and most of them are working here as English teachers. They are happy to, indeed WANT to, make friends with Koreans and learn about Korea just as much as you want to learn how to speak English! Try to set up a casual meeting in a coffee shop, restaurant or other public place where you can spend time just talking to a native speaker. Having a normal conversation won't feel normal at first, because you aren't used to the flexibility of the vocabulary used by English speakers in non formal contexts. Just go with the attitude that you want to have fun and make friends.
3. Go abroad!
This is without doubt the best way to learn English in the shortest amount of time. English is the official language of the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, South Africa and New Zealand as well as the most commonly used 2nd language in just about every other country in the world. Visiting a foreign country will not only help improve your English but you will also have a great time and have some amazing memories to look back upon.
BONUS
The next lesson will be about whatever you choose. That's right, your choice! There is a comments section below so I will choose a comment I like and make my next post all about that! The most interesting question or comment will win so try to think of something original.
Until next time,
